Ford 6.0L HFCM Drain Plug Upgrade

Free Shipping

Product Description

The stock six millimeter hex plug is prone to stripping out because the plug is made of soft metal. When this occurs, attempting to remove it can prove to be very difficult. Even when the plug performs as designed, fuel from the separator will drain unchecked onto the front of the drive shaft onto the ground and onto the person performing the maintainence.

The problematic stock HFCM drain plug on 2003 and newer trucks can now be upgraded to this better designed plug. This plug can be removed or installed by socket or wrench which makes servicing the vehicle much easier. Also, this plug has the added feature of the long retainer that will prevent the plug from being dropped and will re-direct the flow of fuel being drained so that it will not spill onto the front of the drive shafton 4wd models and will allow for easier capture of the fuel with a drain bucket or sample jar.

  1. F250 Water Drain

Posted by Edward Amiotte on 27th Feb 2018

This is a life saver, if you live in a cold climate and need to drain the water out of your Diesel F250.
It makes it so easy compared to the factor style.

  2. Great modified design

Posted by Daniel on 26th Jan 2018

This new design works great in three ways. First, The brass is a better choice of material to prevent corrosion, 2nd the stem keeps the plug from falling out and 3rd, the hex design vs. the OEM Allen insert improves the removal and tighting process. Well done.

  3. Great product and service

Easy to remove, does not fall out, made of brass so it doesn't corrode. Much better that the original steel plug that was a bear to remove.

  4. Great product and service

    Wish we got this sooner.
The brass plug will not corrode or rust and stays on the fuel pump. Now it is easy to drain water from the fuel pump. The original steel plug was a bear to remove and would drop into the container that captures the drained fuel.
    Great product and customer assistance!
